I've tried searching for a similar post but was unable to find anything, but i went and saw a b18c5 race motor the other day and was just curious if the block should have B18c5 markings or just b18.

There are alot of b18 engines b18a1 older ls, b18b newer ls, b18c1 gsr, b18c5 type r.

 

yer i know there are a whole group of b18's, but what i want to know is if the type r engines whould b marked b18c5 rather than just b18

 

oh I've never heard of that. maybe its just for a crate motor or something.
