Engine is making a strange sound... please HELP!
My engine has started to make a strange sound. When in neutral, it doesn't make the sound.
The sound is somewhat of a loud clicking that starts at around 1000 rpms or higher.
The more i rev the engine, the faster the clicking is. And when I stop and let the car idle, it does not make the clicking sound.
The car is a 94 civic hatchback with a b16 engine drop.
I am planning on replacing the clutch, throw-out bearing and pressure plate here in the next few weeks. Do you think the clicking sound from the engine is the Throw out bearing???? or a pulley?
I have revv'ed the engine and tried to listen to where the sound was coming from, but I have no clue.
I need some help on this one please. could it be the timing belt?? car has 112k on it
Any help is much appreciated

If you don't hear it in neutral, its probably something in the transmission/axles/etc. Start with the axles and look for torn CV boots and work your way in.

Check your flywheel bolts and make sure your clutch was tightend down to spec. Other then that, id check pilot and throwout bearings. Also check your timing belt cover and everything along the timing belt. Goodluck
