ok I have an 99 honda civic DX 4 door Auto Trans and I tried installing an Air filter and after installing it, my enginer check light went on, i installed the filter properly and all and i also read the manual that came with the car..and it didn't work. So I installed my stock filter and tried running my car again and the light appeared again...I want to get it fixed today but it's sunday and my dealership service deparment is closed today and I can't drive my car or anything..does anyone know what's wrong? and how can I fix it without going to the dealership?

what do u mean code telling u? sorry i am an auto newbie..and i talked to my cousin and he said about resetting a check engine light? do civic has those reset lights?

 

take off the ecu fuse under the hood fuse box or take off neg. cable on battery
