i have a 96 civic hatch back and it doesnt have an engine harness. i am putting an ls vtec engine in it and i was wondering what engine harness should i get. should i get just the stock 96 engine harness or should i get a 99-00 civic si engine harness

Well you don't specify which model of civic you have, I'd suggest getting the 99-00 Si if there is one available, if not just wire the stock one up... not too hard to do and plenty of resources online.

I would go with the stock one and modify that one. An Si harness is going to cost around $150+

 

The car is a CX hatch. It no harness what so ever, it was ripped out when the car was stolen. I also don't have a harness for the LS-VTEC going into it. That car is long gone. So the SI is the best bet? Going with Hondata management.

 

you cannot use a 99-00 SI harness in a 96 car. unless that is u have all the dash wiring and components switched to 99-00 spec. ur best bet is a 96-98 civic EX harness, good luck finding one, i been searching for months

 

I actually had one for a few days, then I had to send it sway to get spliced with an H22A harness to run H22A in a friends 96-98 EX Coupe.
