OBD2B car with a OBD2A engine harness
Just like the title states i have a 99 civic si, and im using it with a obd1 gsr engine obd2a engine harness into a obd1 ecu.
I noticed there are two plugs of the same type hanging there one from the car and one from the engine harness.
Car will not start up not sure if this is the problem alarm misc etc...
some help would be appreciated.

dont do it trust me, get an SI harness, if you can get the car to start like i did you'll notice a lot of things that dont work...
99-00 si harness or just wire up vtec to your stock harness

well if u get a si harness here is what u need to do
get a obd2 alternator .
on ur obd1 dizzy this is what u need to do :
Honda changed to a smaller distributor(dizzy) plug on all 99-00 EK Civics (CX/DX/LX/EX/ except Si model. This smaller dizzy plug is incompatible with OBD2 B-series distributors. You will have to either change change over to an Si dizzy plug, 96-98 civic dizzy plug, or 96-01 Integra dizzy plug in order to be compatible with a OBD2a/b B-series distributor.
either that or get a obd1 plug in order to use ur obd1 dizzy

Re: (super-hatch)
since theres already a obd2a harness on the engine isnt it safe to assume the alt and dist will work. they dont seem to be modded in anyway.
