CTR cams in lsvtec, lost power?
Just installed CTR cams in my lsvtec with chipped P28.
Car is bucking of the line. Check timing 3x & it's dead on. Intake cam advance 4 degree, Exhaust cam retarted 1 degree.
Still adjusting VAFC.
Do I need dyno?

why do you have the cams advanced and retarded for ?
you might have to add more fuel, because with a stock ls vtec its already gonna run lean but then you add ctr cams and get even more air going in, its gonna be runnin ultra lean.
could be your chipped p28 not mixing to well with the vafc, idk just saying.

My ITR cams in my lsvtec are TOO small, After the dyno tune my cams were adjusted +4 int and -1 exh.
This was my dyno run last night.

ITR cams are nice for a street setup, not small. you can easily pull 180/190 whp with them.
you prolly need tuning, timing is prolly off in the program.DYNO

same problem..except I put it on too loose and it sounded like a water boat with engine problems...thats why I brought it to a shop....leothelowerlip

Man I dont know but 11 grand is a lot on a stock block. Search rod stroke ratio

I had stock B16A cams w/ gears, B16A 10:1 c/r pistons, ported B16A head, Akimoto intake, DC header, Skunk2 catback exh, MSD ignition, Apex'i VAFC, B&M fpr, etc..

i would start off with +2 on the intake and +1 on the exhaust. set your timing ignition timing at 17 degrees. fuel pressure should be around 44-46 psi with vacumm on. hope this helps.
