Default - Engine Code...help -

I just bough a 2000 Civic Si on Wednesday night. I had to drive three hours to pick it up. I had not problems at all until I was driving it to work today and I get a check engine light. It doesn't flash, it is just a constant light. All I have been able to find when doing a search is flashing check engine lights, not a static light. Please help!

It won't flash the code until you short the two pin SCS connector by the glovebox.

i was under the assumption that you needed to count the long flashes long and short and take it to reference http://londonautoclub.kicks-as...s.htm

A constant CEL means you are thorwing a code. To find out you can either A.) jump the service connectors and then the light will flash. First long equal increments of 10 then short ones for increments of one. So for example 9 long flashes and 9 short flashes equals code 99 (unknown). That's my favorite code or B.) you can use a PGM tester and hook it up to the on board diaognostics port under your ash tray. That's what I do.
