63 has three meanings all having to do with the secondary O2 sensor
1. Secondary Heated O2 Sensor circuit low voltage
2. Secondary Heated O2 Sensor circuit high voltage
3. Secondary Heated O2 Sensor circuit slow response
63 can mean all of these so check that one out. On my d16 that is the after cat sensor I think so it is probably that one on your friends car as well.
