Default endyn bbs back up

I saw some ht folk there. very interesting. He claimed his r now makes 280whp n/a (still no proof). It's funny because I actually miss his board. The tech content is good and there are a lot of smart members. So I'll try to ignore Larry and participate, as long as he doesn't ban me. What do you guys think?

i used to frequent his old site once in awhile. the **** he types does make sense in alot of respects but when i frequented it there wasnt much knowledge. alot of crap back then was speculation and theory. but 280WHP on a street driven car is total BS. i still kinda wonder alot about head porting cause alot of porters have different theories and seem to think theirs is better than the competitions. id like to know the actual truth.

His head porting is good I have seen it make good hp. It's just a shame he needs to mislead people. There is a good thread about sleeves sinking in his board that would not happen on honda tech. I guess you need to take the best out of everything and ignore the rest.

I agree with you there is some very good info on there.
But there is so much crap & misinformation from Larry that it is almost not worth looking at.

Not to stick up for Larry nor put any one else down but I say build a better N/A B20 and then talk ****. Yes you have to take things he states with a grain of salt but then there was a time that if you said you could get in a machine and fly around the world you be laughed at just the same. Bad analogy but you get the point.

BTW....JMO!

yet he claims his car has 300HP and it drives around on the street. come on dude, if u actually believe that ur a ****** moron.

Yes you have to take things he states with a grain of salt
well if u have to do that, then whats the point in believing anything he says???

i like readin his **** just as much as the rest. bottom of the line is there has been a post rollin around on HT forever now about a true experience with larry and his dealings with this particular individual. problem is he ripped this guy off for huge amounts of money and the guy ended up gettin jack **** from it. just a slower runnin car that he started out with. its skills or lack there of that get ppl pissed. back in the day i contacted larry about buyin some pistons through email. larry wouldnt give me his # directly although he claimed that these pistons were "custom tailored" to his specs. i was a believer myself, but without contacting him to place an order via phone i said **** it, called IB and got my pistons in 3 days.

I personally know people running his Weisco modded pistons and they are 100% satisfied. One guy is running them in an air cooled VW engine and the thing is insanely powerful. I know about the guy that got ripped off. I never said I beleived his hp numbers, but make up you mind there is a big difference between 280whp and 300whp. His last daily Civic ran 11.01, whats so hard to beleive? He does have good ideas but I dout I would ever buy anything from him do to his previous f'ups in the customer service department.

BTW I did state that this was just my opinion so reach up, grab your ego and calm down.

I know of many better built b20's. His hp claims are worthless with out dyno graphs. When I asked him to see the dyno graph for the 280whp b20 he wrote the article on he completely ignored me. Infact I have never seen any of his dyno graphs EVER. You would think he would have a printer on one of his 40 dynos.

Not to say that Larry has done it but these numbers aren't exactly out of the relm of possibilities of an N/A inline four cylinder. This is pushing it for a comparison but you should get the idea. Moto GP bikes are easily making 200BHP out of 1000cc I4 engines. That's 200hp per liter.....you do the math. Have these numbers been reached with an N/A B20, maybe not......are they even possible, I say yes!

Just some food for thought!
