Default electrical trouble- not charging and more

Long story short: someone washed the engine in CE2 Accord.

Result:
The car dies after a few kilometers of driving.
Tacho is bouncing, speedo not working at all and what makes me worry the most: the battery light is still on even if key is out (when turning the key to the position 1 it blanks). I'm very afraid if it causes the car to catch the fire as I left the car 200km from my home on the parking near the gas station

Randomly some lights go on and off.
The battery was replaced yesterday. I couldn't do anything as it got dark, had no tools and so on...

Appreciate the help.

It's your alternator, a friend of mine washed his engine, then the battery lite came on and the car would die after the tach going crazy.

There is a short somewhere. That's why your car keeps dying. Even when the car is off, there is power going somewhere.

Do you hear a clicking somewhere in the engine bay? Have a buddy listen in the engine bay. I'm assuming it's in there because you just washed it there. It seems to be the source of the problem. If you can locate the clicking, then you can probably find the short/stuck relay/etc.

bingo!
There is some kind of clicking but under the dash on the passenger side not in the engine bay. However the car will be towed back home and I'll fix it here. Now I just gather ideas.
Thanks

Okay, awesome. Now the pain in the *** thing to do is to try and locate that clicking.

if you find it try tapping it with a small hammer(the relay) sometimes it helps.
