ECU HELP.... 98 INTEGRA LS....
ok, a friend of mine did a b-20 swap in his 98 civic ex and is using manual trans non -vtec ecu from a single cam motor... my question is... can i use the same ecu in my 98 teg? im going from auto to manual trans. and i am in need of an ecu! but the only "yard" around here wants 200$ for a 94 ls ecu.. t.i.a and any help is appreciated!
If it's the same OBD system it should work, all the OBD-II systems use multi-point fuel injection, so you don't have to worry about that, and you don't have VTEC to worry about, so all that's left is to turn the motor and fire the spark.
Also, you don't have separate control parameters for each cam so the engine operates electronically just like a single cam and if they're aren't separate control parameters for each cam, then how is the ECU going to know the difference. I believe it will work, I don't know how well it will be tuned, but I do believe it will work.
