Default Best Big Brake Kit to get?

I have a 99 Civic Si and wanted to know what the best big brake kit for the money si? AEM or Bear, etc!! Also a good place to get the kit woul dbe helpful as well!

I don't know if they make one for your car, but try http://www.stoptech.com. They make some of the best brake kits you can buy.

The AEM kit uses your stock calipers but moves they further out radially, right? That means that you will have the same clamping area, but you will have greater torque on the rotor, and more heat-sink mass. That's good, but not the best you can get. However, most people are satisfied with the AEM kit.

none. i've gone through 2 sets of rotors on my Accord. if you do, just get a little bit bigger but waaaay better (wilwood, etc.). my $.02

Stoptech is about the best you can get, and if they don't have a kit that will fit, they can make one for you.

yeah, no dobt stoptech is one of the best. but if you were interested in Wilwood products, then you should check out this website...http://precisionbrakescompany.com/ . they seem to have vary respectable prices as well

Agreed, Stoptech does make some innovative, quality kits.

Wilwood is just as good though.

I don't think you can compare the AEM big brake kits that utilize the stock calipers to the Baer kits that come with the 4-piston calipers unless you plan on buying the 4-piston AEM brake upgrade. That said, I just recently added the AEM big brake kits (stock caliper) onto my car and the stopping power definitely feels better than stock. But if you have the money, I'd go for the 4-piston big brake kits...
