ECU and engine conversion questions
I have a 1993 Civic DX auto. I have a 1994 Integra LS engine and transmission ready to install. If I replace the chip for my automatic transmission P06 ECU with an aftermarket one, will that make it usable with the manual transmission? I also have a P28 ECU from a 1993 Civic EX manual. Would I be able to use that VTEC ECU with the non-VTEC LS engine?
you only have to have the stock gear selector peice from your auto plugged
in and left in park.thats what i did.the auto mount on the frame sits further back
than the manual mount. your parking light in your dash will blink but you can break it. when you cut your floorboard out for the shifter you will have a large
hole up front that youll need to patch and lay down enough dynamat to
bring interiornoise back to an acceptable level.the vtec computer will
throw codes like no tommorow.thats everything i found out the hard way when
i did my auto to manual conversion. Hope that helps you even a little bit.

My old car was a 93 Si, its totalled, but I still have all the parts for the conversion. I was planning on installing the gauge cluster and the Si manual transmission later this month, then waiting on the engine swap until near the end of the summer.

Well thanks for trying to help, but I figured it out.
The resistor bank in the ECU labeled RP**.
On the automatic ECU's RP17 = 4.7kOhm, and RP18 = 2.7kOhm.
On the manual ECU's RP17 = open, and RP18 = jumpered.
