i finally managed to pull my code for the check engine light, and im getting code 36 and 41.

i know what i need to do to fix 41....but 36?! i dont even see any documented error code for that.

ive confirmed it myself like a dozen times, and even had buddies count off how many they were seeing, and its definitely 36.

3 hard long blinks and 6 quick, long pause, 4 hard long blinks and 1 quick = 36 and 41

if anyone knows what 36 means or is, help

 

ok, is your ecu a p13 with 4 plugs? If so then the code 36 is for the traction control feature that is avalible in the JDM market. It does not effect drive ability at all

 

my ecu is a jdm p30 out of an eg6 (dohc vtec)

 

I'm throwing 36 too.

JDM P13....4WS Ecu.

If I replace the 4WS with a standard P13, will it not throw it?
