Code 36? On jdm p13
Hi I just got my jdm h22a dropped in tonight started on third crank. It has a check engine light so I diagnosed it and it showed code 36... I havent been able to find anything on a code 36 anywhere. Its a jdm p13 if that helps. Is this a real code or is my ecu wack. It also showed code 20 electrical load detector, if anyone has any info on how I could fix these problems it would be appreciated. Thanks.
code 36 is traction control
as far as i know the only way to get rid of it is new ecu though MAYBE chipping it may work.
for code 20 im not sure to start with make sure your ecu plugs are in all teh way.

I throw code 36 sometimes also, it seems to only throw when I drive the car hard and spin the tires through first and third, but then just like the egr code I throw it gets resest everytime I turn the car off and start it up again.
The thing is with the electrical load detector is ive had it for a long time it started when someone stole my cd player and all the loose wires were zapping around in the console. Since then my passenger headlight needed to be regrounded the heat blower only works sometimes and other electrical problems. I think maybe i fryed alot of wires under the dash and i was wondering how I could fix that replace with new ones or just tape up old one..? Thanks.
mine throws code 36 as well. i did a search and found that its a 4 wheel steering code. sure enough i look at my ecu and its a 4w. thankfully i also have a 2w thats getting a spoon program
contact prospeed on the board i think he can program it for you

good lord!@ that's a lot of codes you're running lol.
12 - egr (soft code)
14 - iacv (not sure, but this could cause you to go into limp mode)
36 - the launch control people are talking bout. I'm sure a chip would get rid of the problem, not 100% sure though.
21 - vtec solenoid (this could cause you obviously not to go into vtec due to the solenoid probably isn't wired up/break in the wire or bad vtec solenoid
41 - O2 sensor. make sure you have it wired up properly.

yep, soft code means it will not affect the motor with it not hooked up/broken.
things like random misfire, MAP sensor, and such is a hard code that will cause the ECU to go into safe/limp mode so that it will not run any extra functions (vtec and such), run rich, and retard the ignition timing so that the motor will not blow.

You should def fix those codes, which is why your not running right. Def double check your wiring.
