I went to go replace them on my y8 valve cover after i painted it and noticed that they didnt seem to fit right so i went to check the cover on my old y7 cover. It seems one of the 2 cover's spark plug gasket was installed upside down. So does anyone know which way they are supposed to face. Does it really matter? A picture would be alot of help. Thanks

 

I believe they only go in one way. Because their is a little lip on the plastic gasket on the one side of the gasket. It sticks out like 2mm maybe.

 

one cover has the gasket lip facing up while the other cover has the gasket lip facing the valves...i'm stumped
