I'd say get a d16z6, but you don't have to take my word. You make like the d15b I've actually never been in a car that has it. It has a LSD which is nice.

d16's you can probably get for close to $300(i got mine for $250 after I blew up my other one) my fault btw. My new ones been boosted for over a year now and no problems. People do like the d15b as well so maybe you want that, I really don't know. It has LSD which is nice, but i don't know how well they take boost and what to do for a EMS.

 

If I were going to spend the money on a d15b, i'd probably go with just the USDM B18B(LS) and spend the extra money.

 

well i have heard that the d15b is the replacement for the d16's and has like 6 more ft.lbs and like 3 more hp so i dont know, i am so confused can you point me in the direction of d16's?

As for a d16. You can find them in a bunch of junk yards. But if you don't want to go that route, Im not really sure of any other web sites. I don't do much motor shopping. Try junk yard or after people do another swap they usually get rid of the d16. They shouldn't be too rare.

here's a d15b but i don't know if it comes with tranny. I wouldn't get it if it didn't because the tranny that should be on there has a LSD and they're probably hard to find seperate.

on hmotors ECU = $100 extra and Tranny = $150 extra for that d15b not sure if it has a limited slip though

ya **** that. That's wayyy overpriced. d16z6's go around $500-600 in junk yards around iowa. People usually sell them for $300 or so.

ok, that link you posted is the d15b(92-95) from a ferio that has vtec....my buddy has this engine. the engine your talking about is in the ek ferios they had the 3-stage vtec(vtec-e and vtec)....and how do you supposed to just add another vtec soleniod...when the valvetain and cams are different?

What's the point of an engine swap if your swapping from a D-series to a D-series.
Waste of money. Your still going to be slow single vtec or dual vtec. LOL
