Dropping motor from under the car
I personally like to use forklifts whereas you can lift a pallet to the bottom of the oil pan, unbolt the motor and be done with it.
Another option is to use an engine hoist to secure the engine and simply drop it down as opposed to raising it up, then jack the car up and slide the motor out.
Another way of doing it is to lower the front of the car to the brake rotors and unbolt the engine with no special equipment or securing measures. Then jack the car back up and slide the motor out from under it.
If you have access to a lift, then you can lower the car to where the engine is sitting on a dolly of some sort, unbolt it and lift the car back up out of the way.
Etc, etc, etc. The possibilities are endless, use your imagination.
