Default driving without cat

will driving without a cat do any harm to my engine? i need to take my car to the muffler shop to get a custom cat made for my jdm itr header with 2.5in flange...

will this be ok or will i have problems?

i get pulled over all the time, but sometimes i just turn off my car cause the cops around here take forever to tell me stupid crap like my liscense plate light isnt bright enough.
