Default doing a head swap

swapping a type s head on to my jdm h22. The head is only partially put together and is pretty dirty...what are the necessary steps to cleaning the head? Can i just use degreaser or break cleaner? About how long of a job is the entire swap? Expected HP gains?

If its that dirt maybe you should take it to a machine shop and have it disassembled and check out anyway
