Default Does the ECU affect the speedo/odometer ?

Maybe a weird question, but I drive a Canadian model but I'll be putting a p75 from a USDM model. Will this make a difference or are both ecus the same? I read that they had slightly different part numbers, but I'm not sure if that means they are different. TIA

oh yeah , my concern is with the kilometers/miles measurement differences.

It will not affect your speedo. The signal from the speed sensor goes directly to the instrument cluster, with no input from the ECU. The ECU also receives a signal from the speed sensor, to help determine operating parameters, but that has no affect on your speedo.
