How is the Speed Determined 04 LX 4cyl?
My car is a swapped Auto->manual. I am currently running a MT speed sensor (I think, pulling it out of the car today) MT cluster, MT ECU, and MT tranny. The only thing I'm thinking is that the Kpro is getting between the ECU and the VSS. According to a friend, on the 7th gen accord, the speed is read this way VSS -> ECU -> cluster off of the teeth on the 3rd gear. The kpro is setup between the ECU and then connected via a harness.
My questions:
Is the 7th gen accord's transmission counter-driven like the RSX?
Do you think the Kpro is getting in the way of the transmission of data to the stock ECU since it controls the engine?
Possible fixes?
I'm ordering a brand new speed sensor assembly from Honda, not expensive at all and I can do the swap by myself, to see if that solves the problem. There is an option in Kpro for counter-driven cars to change the speedometer accordingly. However, it disables the OBDII function, which is not worth having my speedo/odo being off by 25%.
Open to all suggestions.
