I was thinking about putting on a OBX cat my buddy gave me. It looks to be a test pipe though even though they call it a 'cat'. My question is how many of you guys are running OBX cats and do you have that nasty smell that comes along with using a test pipe. You know, the nasty eggy smell. I'd love to use this OBX cat aslong as it doesnt stink like ****. Let me know guys,

I frequently run with no cat and have never been able to complain of any unusual smells.

 

I have an OBX cat, I think its pretty much a resonator replacing the cat. All I smell is gas, it doesnt smell like a nasty egg smell.

my carsound crapped out on me 2 days ago, i suffer from that rotten egg smell now.lol

 

What you smell with no cat is hydrocarbons. It's basically the smell of incomplete combustion and everything else. It basically smells similar to the fuel. If you're getting some nasty egg smell, you might want to lay off the high cholesterol breakfast foods.
