Ok I know I need it can someone post a good link, that describes the procedure and re pin locations on a OBD2b wire harness?

Can I just cut the 3 wire harness, and just connect a 2 wire leaving the orange wire out?? Will I need to remove the other end of the orange wire from the harness?
