Distributor problems
I have had some problems with my distributor in the last week, it was replaced with a new one, still having a problem. It is loseing power, like I have a bad connection, one minute it will spark, next time its weak, and some times no spark at all(which makes for an exciting ride). The distributor is new so I don't think it is the modual or coil. It could be something to do with the ECU, but I believe the wires are in bad shape and that is whats causeing the problem.
I'm taking it tomorrow to a Auto Electrican to see what he says, but would a MSD ingnition fix my problem?
If so what to use?
6A ?
6AL(really don't think I need a limiter but keeping options open) ?
cap ?
blaster ?

An aftermarket ignition isn't the answer to your problem(s). I would find out what is causing the problem and repair that part. Poor ground, faulty ignition coil, fouled spark plugs, bad plug wires - lots of possibilities.
Villian your right but Im trying to find the easy way out. The distributor is new, plugs new...sparkwires are MSD 8mm 2 months old...Im running out of possiblities.
To find a miss in the 10 to 16 wires going into the distributor is going to take some time to find, specially since its not always broken, but advice well taken..thanks.

so u got new wires? cause i was gonna say wires could be grounding against something if they arent great, and that could be causeing.......also double and triple check grounds again, no codes?
