my car was running very spotty, bogging down. then one day it just died all together and wouldnt start back up. It was giving me a 21 code. vtec solenoid, i thought it was the distributor... so i cleaned out the solenoid and it still wouldnt start. so i checked the spark, none at all. i had the coil and the igniter tested. the igniter was bad so i purchased a new one and still no spark. i put a new rotor cap and distributor cap on, still no spark. At this point i'm lost and completely frustrated. Could it be that i just need to repalce my distributor?

yes just replace it. maybe ur coil is bad ? my coil was bad in mines and was boggin after it warmed up like 10mins then would eventually die...

 

so if the coil is bad why doesnt buying a new coil fix the problem
