distr. rotor screw falls off
sorry if this isnt hybrid enough, but i just got the car tuned and the screw from my rotor fell off. i put it back in place, tightened it good, and got the car tuned again and it fell off again. whats causing this to happen? does it need replacement? TIA
Make sure the screw is actually tight and snug..
If there is a little bit of play, then try some threadlock..
If there is alot of play try a bigger bolt/screw..
The rotor may spin at speeds of 7500+ rpms , but a high amount of torque isn't needed to hold it into place...

I had the same fuggin problem a while ago. I noticed that everyonce in a while my car would miss a little when accelerating from a stop. I did a complete tune up a while back and noticed the screw for the rotor fell out WTF!!!! I just used a small amount of locktite. I can still take the screw out also!!

Unless you want to break the rotor to get the screw out, don't use too much.

My screw put a hole in my dist. cap. Somehow it shot out or something and cracked my cap and half of the screw was hanging out-- that's when I knew about mine.
