Default Dist. Rotor replacement....

Helms manual isnt too helpful on this.

I replaced the dist. cap, but for the rotor, how do you remove this ? I thought there was the screw on the side you remove, but theres a small window where you could fit a screwdriver in, am i supposed to turn the crank or adjust the dist. to get it?

stupid little rotor is making me feel really dumb

Some models you will need to remove the 8mm bolt and some models you don't (you just pull them off). It would help if you knew what you're driving and it would help even more if you could pass that info on to us...

I did this with my teg when I couldn't get to the screw for the rotor.

Take the distributor cap off
Push in the clutch and turn the key as if you are going to start the car
Let it turn over for like a split second
The rotor will be turned to a different spot
If it is not where you need it then turn the engine over again
Just make sure that the rotor wil not touch anything in the engine bay when the distrib. cap is off.
