Default dist question

I have a d16y7 dist and was wondering IF i can use this dist on an obd0 ecu if i rewire it.

You are refering to the 96+ EX right... OBD1 and OBD2 fire at a different pulse rate than that of non-OBD because of the amount of splines. Just rewiring the plug isn't going to work.. You would have to take the internals out of a non-OBD one and them put them into yours.. If I am totally off about which SOHC distributor we are talking about then there is a chance that it might work.... Sorry I work with DOHC mainly.. hehe

its the obdII dx motor. Damn, so sounds like I need an obd0 dist.

Oh yea my bad.... y8 is EX huh.. I really don't know my **** about SOHC.. Most likely that's what you are going to have to do.
