Default disconnecting rev limiter?

Does anyone know if there is any way to disconnect the rev limiter and re-wire it to a on/off switch? If it is helpful, motor is a B16A, not A1 or A2.

Why would you want to disconnect the rev limiter? It doesn't make you faster going way past your power band. You want to set your rev limiter 500-1000 Rpm's after the point your motor stops making power. What about miss shifts. You know what will happen if you miss a shift at really high RPM's right?

It doesn't really work like that (there's no 'rev limiter module') but the effect can be achieved, somewhat, with rom switching. But not having a rev limiter is a disaster waiting to happen, I don't care who you are.

Haven't you ever just been in the mood to do some engine damage and wished that darn fuel cut wasn't in your way?

The 5th to second downshift will achieve the same result with no modifications.

I can truthfully answer that question by saying 'yes', with an addition of 'and it wasn't my car'. Lets just say it's easier to swap a motor than to rebuild one with a rod knock.

just get a msd rpm module selector that will let you set it from 7600 to 9800 no need to rev past 10k ofcourse you would need like a 6AL too
