Different engine sound after lowering?
I noticed that after I lowered my car that I hear a weird noise like either air blowing or a very fast-paced rattle of a bearing or something. Is this normal or is it common. I have a feeling that I'm just being paranoid but I dunno. It seems to starts @ like 3 grand, which is when I usually hear my aem cai intake whistle. Its definatly not the whistle, I think it may be just the noise of the filter but I dunno if it may be something worse. I hit a nasty dip once and hit my header, no cracks or anything, just a scratch. Other than that, no crazy stuff happened.
Chances are your lowering springs are a stiffer rate than the stock springs. This means that vibrations you might not normaly hear seam to appear from nowhere. They aren't absorbed as much as they used to be. I am not saying this is definetly the case with you but more than likely.
A rattle? Could be your exhaust bearings going out.
j/k... Since you hit your header, check and make sure the bolts are secure in the exhaust system from your header down onto the cat.

Its not definatly a rattle. It sounds like it could be fast whirlling air since it's concurrent with the beginning of my cai whistle. I was thinking since the filter is much closer to the ground I can now hear the air going into it better. It won't do it unless its in gear and I'm driving, I couldn't reproduce it in neutral and just revving.
I think it may be that instead of whistling your intake is making a different sound due to being closer to the ground. Sounds weird but could happen. Kind of like blowing in a bottle with different amounts of water in it. Sounds crazy, but COULD happen.
That's what I was thinking. I was thinking of putting my stock air box back in to see if it would go away but I don't feel like going through all that jazz just to find out what the sound is.
