Default did compression check, ran into big problem

well i did the compression on my new si i just got, and when i was done i was goin to put the plugs back in and the number one plug would screw in good, but not as far down as the others, so im thinking what the F*** so i got a flashlight look down in there and theres my problem, the damn compression piece was stuck down on the end( the lil extension that comes with the kit, i thought it was off but i guess it wasnt) so anyways, i try and fit a socket down in there to get it out, i tried a 5/8 (spark plug socket) and its not big enough , but yet i cant fit an 11/16 down in the hole to get it out, what should i do???how do i get it out, i already tried to screw the compression checker on to screw it back out but it wont

needle nose pliers, turn it out

edit: or use a socket thats the same size as the ID of the compression fitting

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine.

I did the same thing, I nearly **** myself when I couldn't get it out. I just jammed a screwdriver into the center of the extension and lodged it in there good enough to twist out.

not I. lol i read the directions that said "do not tighten a lot into the spark plug hole" well, something like that. it doesnt need to be really tight.

Treat it like an oil filter...once it gets snug, 1/4 - 1/2 turn.
