is it possible to detonate with nitrous? how?

 

Shooting it too much into ur engine. It causes uneven fuel and air ratios. Too much Oxygen equals detonation. Make sure proper fuel is upgraded before using nawwsss. Also colder spark plugs are required.

 

too much timing, running lean, crappy gas there are quite a few things that can cause detonation especially wile running nitrous. if u are asking how to prevent it back the timing off and run colder plugs.

 

running lean, timing, and crappy gas would cause detonation by them selfs even with out nitrous. what im asking here does the actual nitrous cause detonation?

 

with stock fuel pressure, stock timing, stock octane recommended gas, and stock ignition, yes nitrous does cause detonation. retard your timing a bit, run high octane gas, put in some colder plugs (like a NGK-R BKR7E) and raise your fuel pressure and youll be ok

 

nitrous is FI. same way you blow your turbo car, you could blow your n2o car.
