sometimes when i start my engine [95 C1 in a 95 DC4] it doesnt crank over right away. i turn the key to the start position and nothing. panic at first so i held it there and it cranked and started about 4 seconds later. very very unsettling. im scared im gonna get somewhere and not be able to start it at all. what can it be? whats also suspicious is that this doesnt happen all the time. sometimes it'll crank right when i turn the key.

 

Does it click when you turn the key?
If so, there's dust in your solenoin, tap it with a screw driver and the dust will fall away.

 

Ignition switch maybe?

 

no clicking....nothing....can it be my alarm maybe? it does have ignition cutoff. the system was disarmed tho. how do i check the ignition switch?
