Any car manufacturer that uses keys like ours will have the same issue. There are only so many different keys you can make, your key will probably open/start at least a few hundred other cars.

This is a known problem, particularly on Hondas as old as 5th gens which commonly have worn keys and cylinders.
I've gotten a fresh cut key stuck in my ignition before. It would turn also. It took a few hard jerks to finally pull the thing out, but it did eventually come out.

lol, its not like I'm posting some big secret that no thief knows.
They're not going to bother trying to grind a damn key to get in your car when they can use a screw driver. Screwdrivers will open any car if you go at it long enough.
Public Service Announcement: If a thief can take your car with just a key, then you're an idiot. Get an immobilizer.

Re: (StreetRiot_DRE)
StreetRiot_DRE... my spare key that I had made doesnt quite fit right... it will go in and start the car but it dont want to come back out of the ignition. Just turn it to the off position and tug on it and wiggle it at the same time. Its not going to hurt anything.

Then go replace your lock cylinders.

As far as I can recall, I tried a few different things. Turning it to the off position and then yanking as hard as I can and also turning and pulling at the same time in almost one motion.
The key was cut by Honda, but apparently needed to be smoothed out a bit before it went back in the car.
I basically just sat in the car and kept trying and eventually it popped out. Then I had to put it back in once I got off of work so I could get home. It worked a bit better that time at least.

Re: (NOFX)
Yes if it is a automatic is must be in park to remove the key. And you may even have to have the brake pressed in to get it out. I can't exactly remember at the moment.

Re: (NOFX)
Thats a good link right there. That doesnt necesarily mean that the shift linkage has come apart it just means that you have to work with it a bit to actually get it into park even though it says its in park. May even have to take to console off and check it out.
