Basically the stock Aluminum sleeves are removed and replaced with iron.

EDIT: The sleeves are what the pistons slide up and down in.

stock sleeves aren't aluminum, they're some form of iron I believe

Basically they remove the stock sleeves and replace it with ductile iron sleeves. For more detailed info, you could call Golden Eagle, Darton, or RS Machine and ask.
