Default Defective IACV...

My IACV has been going out on my h22 for a few months now. It just now started to get worse. It used cause the car's idle to fluctate at night and with the headlights on. Now it is just doing it all the time. I recalibrated my TPS, swapped out my Fast Idle Valve, and looked around for vaccum leaks (none found). Could this become a potential problem in the long run or just become a nuisance?

I will replace it eventually, but right now I don't have the cash to.

Try pulling it out, and cleaning it with some carb cleaner, then re-install it. That might bring it back to life for ya.

I ended up doing what you said and it still didn't work. I ran some engine degreaser and carb cleaner on it. Slapped the thing back on and the car still idles funky..... I dunno what else to do but to buy another one.

those iac sensor on the h22a are sensitive sometimes, mines if you adjusted the idle too high or too low it would surge too
