aren't most used cars sold "as-is" with no warranty and not to mention the laminated paper the dealers put in the window that states sold as is with no warranty. that means no warranty thru the dealer but not with the Honda dealership if the vehicle is still under manufacturers warranty but the manufacturer isn't responsible for the non oem part the used car dealer installed. they screwed up and now because of their screw up you are screwed up. what you do is take the vehicle drive it into the building and park it right in the salesmans lap and start sucking away. again as everyone else has stated its your fault you shouldn't have purchased it or signed any paperwork until they fixed what you already knew was gonna mess up.

2011 Element with no warranty? You'd be stupid NOT to get one. Maybe you're thinking of those shady car "Buy here. Pay here." car lots.

no used car dealership. i know some of the ones around here have stickers on them that say as is with no warranty. as i said it should still be under manufacturers warranty but no warranty thru the USED CAR DEALERSHIP. they might try to hustle you into buying that extra warranty some dealerships offer which wouldnt be a bad idea but the op got screwed now he regrets it and is thinking he can get something out of them which is untrue he purchased the vehicle as is. and as is is what he got anything he found out about it before the purchase should have been brought to the dealers attention before any transaction was made end of story.

to the op... next time go to the honda dealership and purchase the vehicle from there. most sell certified pre owned vehicles. just charge it to the game and fix whatever needs to be fixed and call it a day.
