Default Dart Block motor cam alignment - HELP!

I have a Dart B20+ block with a taller deck than a Honda block. I got the longer cam belt installed on it and the cams don't line up at 0 when the crank is at 0. It's just about 1/4 of a tooth off, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not a tooth off. Here's some pictures of the cams when the crank is at 0 (dotted lines should match up):

It doesnt look ike its a tooth off. Have you tried tensioning up the belt and seeing where they land then?

PS...Did you go to the last THSCC autocross this past weekend? How did you do?

the cam gears are only half a tooth apart, and they counter-rotate, so with the drive gear being half the size of the cam gears, it looks like it's only half a tooth off on the drive gear, unless I am missing something. I'll try moving it a tooth on the drive gear and see where it goes

I'll try re-tensioning it again, but I've tried it a couple of times now. The belt is a bit stiff, it is brand new, so I think that's why it looks a bit loose.

I wanted to get out this weekend, but had to get my motor swapped out this weekend. Hopefully I'll be out next month with the new setup, an all-motor stroker. It should be a lot of fun. I did get to another club event and a SCCA event in Atlanta this month though, so it was a good month. I definitely want to get to the THSCC HPDE at Rockingham in Novembber though, that should be a good time.

But the alignment marks on the cam gears, which are the dotted lines on the GE cam gears, should line up at TDC, right?

Yeah cause if you try to line them up perfectly straight pointing up and put the belt on best you can and take the timing you wont be able to get 16 degrees at all, 2 cam gears position must be identical to each other

I couldn't get it to line up, they were both three degrees off, so I just set them three degrees back with the cam gears. It appears to run fine.

If i'm wrong, it's because i've been wrenching on shitsubishis and toyotas all day, but on the stock gears, isn't there one timing mark on the indented tooth of one gear and on the outdented tooth of the other gear? Whereas those GE camgears have them the mark on the outdented tooth of both gears.

I compared them to the stock gears, the GE's are identical, the stock gears have timing marks on the out tooth. I really think it's because the deck is taller, but I can't find anyone who's built a Dart motor to ask.
