Default d16z6 head on a d15 block

Ok, i'm sure this has been beatin to death, but i don't know the answer and i couldn't pull up a search. My friend has the d15 block and wants to know if it's possible to bolt on a d16z6 head and what all it would take. I'm not sure what his plans are for this motor. Thanks for your help.

Usually the VTEC heads cost just a much as the whole engine.

Suggest he buy the whole thing.

Seen one around here going for 200!!!

i have no clue of the different d15's there are. I don't know why he's doing it. I said just get the d16z and be happy. Most of these guys work on the big lexus gs400TT, sl500, bmw m5's, all that crazy ****. So i don't know what he's doing in the honda world now.
