Default D16Z6 and D15b COMPATABILITY?????

I am looking to build a D series, SOHC vtec turbo engine. I have looked at using a replacement block to start with in the d16z6, but the price for a D15b from Hmotors is really nice. My question is, what are the specs on the engine. I have had alot of trouble finding info on this engine, and when i have it has been inconsistent and i have been unable to verify any of the information. Also, what is the compatability of this engine as far as the components go. Will i be able to get rods, pistons and so forth for this engine. Will they be the same as far as matching with the z6.
who is making rods and pistons for the d15. i am wondering about getting parts for it. if i do go turbo i want rods and pistons for sure.

if someone could translate a jap manual to english on the d15 that would be appreciated..

if anyone has built up this engine or has any advice or information is would be greatly appreciated.

do you happen to know if anyone is making pistons for the d15b, thats the main issue, it getting lower compression forged pistons for turboing.

plenty of places will make you some pistons, if they dont already. the d15b on hmotors MAY be the vtec version of the motor, especially if they rate the HP up around 130. head on over to http://www.alternativehonda.com, do a little research, then ask questions. smae basic deal as on here. im not too familiar with the 1.5L motors, so im afraid i wont be too much help, but plenty of people over there have experience with them if your search turns up nothing. i do know the Z6 intake manifold will bolt to the 1.5Lhead, or you could do a mini me with the z6 head on the 1.5L block, but if the motor is the 3 stage vtec version then all that would be a loss of power.

yea i would prefer to not have to pay for custom pistons. i think i am just gonna find a junkyard z6 and be done with it, its not worth all this hassle.

I though that d15b got the same block as d16z6 just different crank (not 100% sure), different pistons, and different rods. The head is the same but d15b got more agressive cam.

D15B is a d15z1 block (rods, crank) with D16z6 pistons and d16z6 head

I don't know. All I know is that the #'s for rod length, stroke, bore, and wrist pin location are the same for the d15b as the d15z1. And I know the pistons aren't the same because the d15b uses a d16z6 head cast, and the d16z6 head with d15z1 pistons is like 7:1, so i'm assuming its a dish piston around the size of the d16z6 piston. I know that d16z6 pistons are compatible with d15z1's, so i'm assuming they are with jdm d15b's. Paypal me 600 and i'll buy a jdm d15b and a ruler and verify it

yea, the 600 is the problem, not the ruler
