First of all i dont like using "giggle gas", if not used properly it could cause serious engine damage. But if you honestly want to put NoS on a D16Y7, which if i remeber is the 6th gen 1.6 sohc honda engine, then the most you could probably use is a 25-shot setup, anymore would most likely cause some serious damage. Also NoS is VERY unreliable. In my opinon the best thing to do is upgrade to a new engine. Although, if your on a low budget then id recommend you trying to find a 1st gen b16. If you need any more help just email me at AndrewAndrioff@CarAudio.com i'd be happy to help you w/ any problems.

I ran a 50 shot NOS kit on my old SOHC motor for more than a year before it blew. With the new Venom kits and thier infinately better tuning, a 50 should be completely safe.

I dont want to be a dick, but why the **** would u want to feed your car enough gas untill it blows? Honestly your lucky that your engine even held up for a year.
Import Newbies should learn that NoS can melt certain parts of your engine.

Relax... I used to run a 70 shot through my d16y7. I never had a problem. I used a wet single fogger right above the throttle plate. The manifolds on these engines dont have byass air flow charecteristics like the normal ones. That means IF detonation occurs it will be even for all cylinders instead of destorying one it will do less overall damage. Dont worry about that its just more insurance for a safer setup. Use NGK bkr7e spark plugs I think the stupid parts guys will want to hear 6089 or 6098. Its cold enough to avoid damage and still run well otherwise. The engine is obd2, its supposed to adjust timing back to normal even if you adjust the distributor, I didnt have any problems once I changed plugs. If you want more insurance against detonation, you can get an fpr and increase the pressure a LITTLE.

If you are smart about the way you use n2o, it can be reliable. Dont let people scare you because they didnt learn to use it responsibly and blew they're **** up.

you need to get a wet kit that uses a fogger that atomizes perfectly. in my experience with my old juiced y7, the y7 manifold flows HORRIBLY and loves to puddle fuel if you've a poorly atomised n20/fuel mix...NX (nitrous express) is the absolute leader with wetkit technology. the best plug is what ryan suggested, NGK bkr7e-11. if tuning is on-point, then you should be fine with 50 whp from the juice. the hardware cant reliably handle much more than that...another thing to remember is, NOS dry kits like 5122 say 50 shot and it usually turns out to be 30 whp...the NX kits however, if they say 50 shot, they are VERY close if not a little over 50hp to the wheels....
