Default D16y7 in EG hatch smoking?

I have a question for everyone, my buddy has a hatch with a y7 motor and I can't figure out why it smokes only in the mid range and WOT. It does not lose and coolant or oil. Smells like gas all the time when running, I changed the regulator already, Still does it. Im thinking the injectors or the 02 sensor. Any ideas? TIA!!

Are you throwing codes? You might ( ) look for leaks if it reaks of gas all the time. That's bad. Check to make sure your EGR is hooked up properly. The ECU is going to make the car run rich at WOT anyway, so that's a main source of your smoke. The smoke is black, right?

No leaks, Yeah the smoke is black but sometimes like a little whiteish, But not blue. And theres no oil on my back bumper or anything, The only code that comes up is for the atmosphic pressure or something like that, I will have to double check that tom, Thanks for your help tho!!
