Default d16y5 or 8 head on d16y7 block

I want to replace the entire valvetrain on my car with a SOHC VTEC system. I currently have a D16Y7. I was wondering if anybody knows if the block is the same in both cases? I am preliminary stages of doing this and want to make sure I can before I proceed with changing over.

A Y8 head does fit on your block, don't bother with the Y5 though.

Buy a Helms, and while your waiting for it to arrive, hit up the search button and get reading.

The D16Y8 head is from the EX
The D16Y5 is from the HX......Highway version. It has higher lift on the cams but, I believe the duration is less than the EX.
