D16 piston specs...
Hey Guys,
I threw a D16Z6 head on the D16Y7 engine that is in my '95 Coupe, on Sunday.
I did a compression test last night and recieved 188psi across the board. No variation, which was good to see, but lower than I expected.
So, my question: Does anyone know the piston dome/dish volume for the D16Y7(P2E) ?
Any feedback would be cool...

I'm not really familiar with SOHC numbers but no variation is great... P2E: compression height = 30.00mm, dish = 3.32mm... I actually still am working on a formula to convert CH and dish to "cc of dome" even though I'm not sure if it is possible... Those are the only numbers I have for your Y7 pistons but if you don't already have a way to convert then I'll work with yours since I have a known static compression... Peace
Well, I thought I would be over 200psi, but good to see the engine is good.
Given the complex shape of the dish, I think the only option is to 'cc' the dish, or find specs from Honda. Anyone done this?
