I want to make sure I do this right, so help will be appreciated. I'm rebuilding a D16Y7 and took the oil pump apart to inspect the rotors. I rounded out all the ports to help it flow a little better, bought a new spring, relieve valve, o-ring, front seal and gasket for the oil pick-up connection and have a 0.015" thick shim I'm thinking of using. My machinist looked at the rotors and said they are in great shape. Please let me know anything that an amateur like myself might overlook.
What kind of lube I should use and where I should apply it?
