Default D15Z1 to D16Z6 Question

what would i need to turn a D15z1 into a D16z6? i think all i need is z6 rods and crank but im not sure, can some one help me out? o yea, the d15z1 is a 94 VX Vtec-e motor. thanks.

o yea one more question, the Vx tranny is pretty much the same as the Cx tranny rite? really long gears and crappy for performance. thanks alot.

You will want the si trans for sure.
As far as the engine goes I think your ecu should be swapped (dont quote me on that) The vtec-e has some economy features built into it but I think getting longer rods is a great idea and maybe some pistons with a higher comp rate while you are there.

the d15 pistons have a different wrist pin location than the d16. i believe the rods are different as well and i know there a few other differences. do a search i think this has been gone over before, if u can't find anything try asking mista bone he would know.

get a d16z6 swap, the d16 crank and pistons wont fit in the d15, and you'll want the d16 head anyways

and if you still wanna take apart the block I might be interested in the d15z1 rods
