Default cylinder damage. input requested

my f22 shortblock has a few tiny knicks on the OUTSIDE wall (water jacket side) of the cylinder. the inside walls are fine, and the head showed no signs of damage. ill try to get a pic of this today.

what could have caused this? do you think this will affect my performance in any way? it doesnt seem like it will case any headgasket sealing problems, but could there be something im not thinking about? thanks

overtime your coolant becomes acidic, and starts eating parts of your engine

those 'nicks' may be potential weak spots....
