cv joint will not go in!

Default cv joint will not go in!

im trying to get the drivers side axle into the intermediate shaft, but the cv joint wont go in. i've taken off the axle nut and pounded the **** out of the axle and it still wont go in. do any of you guys have any suggestions?!

ok update...the cv joint wont even go into the intermediate shaft with out a clip ring. wtf, is there something wrong with the intermediate shaft?

get some pictures. so if you were too look inside the intermediate shaft are the grove fawked up? or is it fawked up on the axle side?

Sometimes you really have to hit it hard, put it in on the spindle side and put the nut on.. line it up with the I.S. and grab hold of the rotor and pund away

yeah i tried that, the joint wont even go on with the spindle with out the snap ring.
