im not sure if hes being sarcastic or not......you will bounce your car so much that the shocks will get over worked

longer springs have a softer spring so when you cut a spring it will still be springy but with alot less room to be springy and you can botom out your shocks quite easilly. An aftermarket spring is shorter but much stiffer and will prevent damage. a spring kit can be had for a hundred bucks and will prevent damage to shocks and car
